This is obviously a huge blow to Owens, who is 37 right now and clearly looking towards the end of his career. Can his body respond to something like this? An injury of this caliber usual spells the end of normal players careers, but T.O. is far from an average player. He currently ranks 2nd all time, behind only Jerry Rice in receiving yardage, and 3rd all time in touchdown receptions, behind Rice and Randy Moss. He is most definitely a sure-fire hall of famer.
T.O. is known around the league for his hard-work and fitness, and the way he keeps his body in shape is unparalleled in the league, definitely for his age. So it is difficult to rule out a possible return. What do you think? Will T.O. make it back this year? Or is this the end?
